Style and a lavish statement had to be the theme as Gourav and Sonali decided to get married. Thinking out- of-the-box, the couple decided upon a destination wedding. And, what better could it be than to have celebrations on a grand scale at an exotic location in Rajasthan in the month of June.
Both the bride and the groom’s families reached Jaipur and were put up at a royal venue, Hotel Fairmont. Upon arrival, the guests were traditionally welcomed and led to their accommodations for some rest as hectic celebrations lay ahead for them. All their needs were matched with the luxuries of the world coming together, intricately designed by V3 Weddings and Events.
The Moroccan Night
First of the ceremonies was planned in a grand way. Theme Morocco was set up at a picturesque poolside venue of the hotel. The grand entrance of the venue was guarded by young lads in Moroccan style. Floral tiaras were adorned by women and men were given a traditional headgear according to the theme. The whole evening was lined up with Moroccan dancers, flower girls and thematic props like ornate pitchers and flavoured hookahs. Stage performances by an international singer from Dubai and a show by rockstars from a reality show were the showstoppers. Day one ended with a different high, where everyone was so mesmerised that they did not even want to retire for the night.
Goad & Tikka
The families received a grand welcome at Le-Meridian for traditional Goad and Tikka ceremony followed by lunch at the same venue. As celebrations rolled out, what everyone awaited eagerly were the performances by family members. Both parties had availed services of professional choreographer and had been rehearsing for more than a month for the occasion.
Family Award Night
Same evening saw a gala function with members of families being awarded for their personal traits. The evening saw stars like Toshi Sabri, a leading voice of Bollywood along with a stunning performances by Swedish-Iranian actress and model Marriam Zakaria and British model and actress Hazel Keech. Another stunning performance of the evening was an aerial act by the ‘Acrozeal’ dancer duo Sonia and Diwakar from the reality show, India’s Got Talent. Adding to the fun was Mubeen Saudagar from Laughter Challenge India.
Traditional Bhaat
Bhaat is a very important wedding tradition in India where the mama (maternal uncle) of the bride bestows her with gifts. The functions took place at Fairmont Hotel in full fervour and style. Traditional Bhaat singers were hired for the occasion where emotions ran high.
The Gala Wedding
Baraat at the wedding was a royal treat. In a lavish Rajwada-style, the groom proceeded to the venue on an elephant royally dressed up for the occasion. Specially made for the function was the umbrella made of flowers for the groom. The baraat proceeded with an unparalleled pomp and show.
The bride on the other hand came in a specially designed crown shaped palki. It was an amazing sight to see the perfectly adorned bride entering amidst thousands hand’s act and later given the helping hand by the chivalrous husband in waiting.
The ‘Jaimala’ took place in a well decorated ‘Saheliyon Ki Baadi’ along with the amazing shows of fireworks. It was a fun filled celebration for next few hours as everyone lined up to bless the new couple.
While the whole evening was filled with performances, specially coordinated musical ‘pheras’ was the high-point of the evening. Specialist singer from Kolkata was hired for this occasion. The function ended on an emotionally high note at vidai when the bride left for her in-laws in a vintage car for doli marking the end of a high-profile destination wedding.
The Reception
A grand reception was hosted in Gorakhpur. A huge state of the art setup never seen or heard in Gorakhpur was set up. And while the near and dear ones blessed newlyweds renowned Bollywood singer Shadaab Faridi was entertaining the guests by his vocal talent. Though the execution happened in groom’s home town, the function was completely planned in Delhi. All decor items including props were transported and set up in a record time. Even the catering team had come from the national capital to ensure an orgasmic blend of global cuisine.
The whole wedding including the reception was planned by none other than famed V3 Events and Weddings under the aegis of ace wedding planner Bunty Narang. They had not only booked 185 rooms at palatial Fairmont Hotel but also had employed 70 luxury cars round the clock for the convenience of guests.
