The Theme: Presenting a strong blend of Indian and international influences, the collection draws inspiration from a very decadent India while engaging strong western sensibilities seamlessly. With intricate jewellery paired with chic and contemporary jackets—the combinations in this collection typify global influences.
Sensibility: Irresistibly Indian, with a naughty spirit, keeping energies high and an assortment of Indian traditional crafts have been incorporated into the garments and accessories with ensembles in organic fabrics. The collection also has its quiet moments, with black and ivory tones being predominant.
Motifs and Embellishments: The collection in itself is dramatized by using extensive use of handcrafted embellishments in bright colours to offset the otherwise monotone color palette.
Fabrics: There is an extensive use of fabrics like muslin, taffeta, silk, satin, chanderi and textures like shredded chiffon, crinkled muslin, quilting and treated leather.
Accessories: The jewellery has been carefully selected to give the collection an extremely strong Indian feel. The jewellery is from all over India and is all antique silver. The shoes have been handcrafted
and made especially for the collection by Chetan Gupta. The leather belts and handbags have been designed by Shahrukh Zaidi.
Feel: ‘Contemporary Classics’. The unique aspect of the Rohit Bal label is its timeless and ageless beauty.
