A simple engagement ceremony at Royalton Hotel (previously Mercure Hotel) was followed by the splendid wedding ceremony of Sharanya & Sridhar on a grand scale at Shoba Gardens, Hyderabad, with a majestic and traditional Mandap set and a brilliant 7 door passage entrance.
Sharanya, the younger daughter of Sree Rekha & Sandeep Kasupa, has done her graduation in fashion designing and her post graduation in business administration (MBA). Sridhar is the younger son of Padma & Ashok Gupta Myadam, business owners.
Though it was an arranged marriage, Sharanya & Sridhar looked like a pair made for each other. The bride’s Kanyadanam was performed by Jayasree & Pradeep Kasupa. The bride’s parents first performed a Tulsi Dala Archana to Lord Balaji which was followed by the marriage ceremonies.
It was a conventional Muhurtham scene laced with profuse grandeur. About fifteen hundred guests graced the event at Shoba Gardens, where the event was managed by Paras Events. The theme was that of the much revered Tirumala Balaji Temple and the passage was made in Sapta Dwaram (7 doors) style. After walking through the 7 doors, guests were treated to the spectacular sight of a magnificent Ganesh idol at the entrance which lead to the Kalyana Mandap. Demanding much attention was the life-sized idol of Lord Venkateshwar in the backdrop of the mandap, adorned with American Diamond ornaments resembling the actual statue in Tirumala Balaji Temple. Guests also lauded the unique and exquisite decoration work done with Coimbatore Lily flowers all around the venue.
Sharanya, the radiant bride looked resplendent in a grand cream silk saree with golden accents and gorgeous jewellery while the groom looked elegant in a traditional Sherwani. After the wedding ritual was performed, the bride and groom performed Lord Sathyanarayan Pooja (Prayer) showing their gratitude to the lord.
Talking to the bride, we found out something interesting about the wedding. The bride had a quirky story of her own to share, one that made her tremendously happy even before the wedding. “My 25th birthday is etched in the most beautiful of my life’s memories. It was after the engagement and before the wedding, and my fiancé gave me a huge surprise by taking me on a chartered flight to celebrate my birthday in an exceptional manner. We cut the birthday cake in the air! It was beyond my wildest dreams, and I knew I had found my Mr Right. I couldn’t be happier!” chirped the bride. Well, that was a superb prologue to an admirable wedding.
