A bride, so beautiful. A groom, so dapper. Venues spelling exuberance. Ambience wrapping you in warmth. Entertainment at its height. Emotions embracing you tight. This and much more would have been your experience, had you attended the wedding gala of Monika and Yatin.

The most beautiful love stories are the ones that happen, and are not planned. Same holds true for Monika and Yatin, who met in an arranged marriage setup and gradually fell into eternal, blissful love. Monika is the daughter of Mrs and Mr Anil Goel, who have earned a niche position amongst the exporters of rice. And Yatin is the son of Mrs and Mr Sunil Jindal, owner of JMJ Industries Pvt Ltd. When children of two industrialists marry, you expect grand functions, exuberant merrymaking, and picture perfect wedding moments. Well, not a surprise then, this wedding had all these elements most-perfectly in place.
Having completed masters in business administration and a course in interior designing, Monika enjoyed a courtship period of almost four months with Yatin who pursued bachelors in business administration before studying footwear designing. Reminiscing the golden period of courtship, Monika says, “Being in the courtship is a beautiful feeling. You have butterflies in your stomach. Everybody starts pulling your leg and there is this one person in your life whose presence and talks will make you blush.”
Here’s taking a look at two hearts that now beat as one post the holy matrimony…

Shooting Up the Pre-wedding Romance

The fond memories of their pre-wedding shoot are clear in her voice as Monika calls it the “the best time spent with Yatin”. She goes on to add, “It was just a single day but the experience was breathtaking. The photographer had given us a brief but I had no idea that the photoshoot will be so beautifully executed.” As you might expect, this was the first trip the couple went on together. They went to Dadigarh Fort in Rajasthan for the shoot, by Suraj Verma Photography. The couple changed into different gorgeous ensembles, that made them look no less glamorous than a Bollywood couple.

Exchanging Rings… and Hearts

On 26th April 2015 was the couple’s sagan ceremony, followed by cocktails, at JW Marriott. The theme of white lilies in the background made the venue look even more beautiful. The stylish bride opted for an ivory lehenga by designers Shantanu and Nikhil, which she complemented with a choker diamond set with emeralds, designer bangles with latkans, and a designer hathphool. Meenakshi Dutt’s smokey makeup with an out-of-the box hair accessory along with passa made Monica look dreamlike. The groom looked no less stunning in the royal blue bandhgala suit by ace designer Tarun Tahiliani.
Performers Jimmy Felix and Poorva Mantri cast a spell on the guests with their magical performance. Also, Yatin sang 'mai tainu samjhaavan ki' for his ladylove and she played the scintillating tune of ‘tum hi ho’ on the guitar for him. Interestingly, it was all unplanned, tells Monica. “Jimmy pushed us both to perform, and not just that, he even made Yatin formally propose me” says she, beaming.
The couple’s dance performance on 'ek pyar ka nagma hai' and ‘tere hoke rahenge’ made the evening even more beautiful.

The Nitty-gritty

The mehendi night, held on 27th April 2015, was yet another reason for the Goels and Jindals to enjoy. In a seemingly filmy scenario, the groom along with his family and friends surprised the bride and his family by coming over to their place with dhol and crackers. Both the families danced their hearts outs on the beats of dhol and traditional Punjabi boliyaa. The next day, on the 28th of April 2015, the age-old rituals like tel-baan, chaak- bhaat, geet, and gaur puja were performed.

Celebrating the Perfect D-day

And finally, the couple took wedding vows on the 29th April 2015 at the lavish venue, Nitesh Kunj (The Nikunj), Gurgaon. From the décor, the food, and the entertainment to the hospitality, everything that you think of in an Indian wedding, was spotlessly perfect. The bride, Monika, wore a beautiful lehenga, with different shades of pink, by designer Anjali Arjun Kapoor. Antique gold and kundan choker set with toda, maangteeka, kade, hathphool, and designer bangles with latkans gorgeously enhanced her bridal look. Kapoor also created the groom's wedding outfit—a cream and ivory coloured sherwani, with royal craftsmanship, is what he wore.
The wedding, for which designer theme invites with sweets were sent out, had an extensive variety of vegetarian food. Indian, Chinese, Italian, Rajasthani, Gujrati, South Indian, Mexican—name any cuisine you are fond of, they had lavish spreads of all! Plus, a tantalising variety of desserts were offered to pamper the sweet tooth of guests.
The once-in-a-lifetime moments from the days-long wedding extravaganza of Monika and Yatin were beautifully captured by an expert team of Suraj Verma Photography. From capturing priceless pictures of portraits of the bride and the groom to freezing blink-and-you-miss candid moments, they did complete justice to creatively capturing the royal wedding.

From the day their wedding was finalised, their pre-wedding shoot was executed, and the sagan was done to their wedding day, the journey of Monika and Yatin is filled with sweet memories… and love. Nudge Monika about what she loves the most about Yatin, only to find her blushing and say, “Though he is not expressive all the time, yet his love towards me… I can feel it.”
Here’s wishing a happy married life to the cute couple!
